Today is the happiest day of the year according to Dr Cliff Arnall, a psychologist who runs happiness coaching clinics for health professionals and businesses, from Brecon, Powys. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/181567/Why-today-adds-up-to-the-happiest-day-of-the-year
Dr Arnall, a former Cardiff University lecturer, has used a mathematical formula (O + (N x S) + Cpm/T + He) to calculate that things which make us feel good, such as sunny evenings, blooming flowers, holiday anticipation and fond memories of childhood summers are at their peak today.
The third Friday in June came out with the highest rating due to peaking happiness factors.
Here at Happy HQ we consider that every day is a joy and try and find an element of happiness in everything.
We could even possibly be The Happiest Company on the Happiest Day of the Year! Not sure there’s a formula for that!

Happy Creative has been awarded Recommended Agency status with RAR (Recommended Agency Register). The award, taking into account anonymous customer feedback saw Happy waltz to recommended status and score well above the national average in the majority of categories.
The Recommended Agency Register is a national register of creative and marketing agencies which uses real customer feedback to approve and rate agencies. Agencies are rated on a number of aspects including:
• Client service • Creativity • Effectiveness • Value for Money
Based on the national average ratings for all agencies, Happy smashed the ratings for Client Service, Creativity, Effectiveness and Value for Money. Our customers rated all of these as well above the national average.
Her Royal Happiness, Karen, was delighted with the results. “Gaining RAR approval is brilliant news and the ratings in the individual areas are outstanding. I would like to thank the Happy Team for making this happen. The fantastic service they continue to deliver shows a true commitment to our customers and it is great to see it recognised in this way.

Seasiders Triumph
A big Happy well done and whooo to Blackpool FC who have joined the big boys in the Barclays Premier League for the 2010/2011 season after a brilliant (but nerve jangling) 3-2 win over Cardiff in the Championship Play-Off final at Wembley. Blackpool legend Brett Ormerod netting again in a play-off final and this season’s star man Charlie Adam’s superb freekick worthy of the occasion.

Following in the footsteps of Burnley FC last year (Karen made us put that bit in – she promises that she isn’t jealous), the Seasiders will be welcoming the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United oh and Wigan to Bloomfield Road.
As all proper football fans know, it is a phenomenal achievement and superb news for a Happy town which really is on the up.
So here’s to a successful season in the Premier League for the Tangerines, and a massive Happy well done to Ian Holloway and all the staff, players, directors and fans of Blackpool FC.

When home and giftware company, Atelier Home and Gift Ltd were looking to rebrand and develop a new look for their catalogue, they turned to Blackpool-based Creative and Marketing company, Happy Creative for their expertise, high energy and positivity.
The Happy Team, who adore all things pink, rose to the occasion with their usual exuberance and energy, keen to sprinkle their magic on the Think Pink brand. After a review of the existing Think Pink brand identity and immersing themselves in as many shades of pink as possible (with the men in the team fully engaged and happily tapping into their pretty, pink, feminine sides!) a number of sparklingly gorgeous logos were developed which would identify with Think Pink’s audience (sugar, spice and all things nice!).
Using the newly created logo and amidst much excitement, the Happy Team went on to design and print Think Pink’s stunningly beautiful 64 page Perfect Bound catalogue which has already moved the company forward and expanded product lines.
James Chantler, Happy’s Creative Director, later commented that, “We were thinking pink even when we were "blue”!!

Promethean, providers of leading edge teaching solutions, asked Happy Creative to help their overseas distributors in Asia Pacific (APAC) by providing them with all the tools they needed to issue marketing campaigns easily.
Happy developed Campaigns in a Box, which quite literally is 7 campaigns in one complete box. Each campaign element is housed in its own little box so that the distributors can choose which campaign they want to promote. Within the individual campaigns there’s a marketing brief which gives brief details on how to implement the campaign, and templates and guidelines for a range of marketing collateral including advertising, direct mail and eblasts. A branded CD containing all the elements of the campaign was also provided, allowing partners instant access to a range of Promethean's campaigns.
Launched earlier this year, it has been extremely well received and Promethean are now planning to extend the idea globally to help distributors worldwide.

Happy Creative is proud to have cracking mates like Fylde Coast YMCA. The Lancashire based group asked Happy Creative to design and print their Christmas campaign, allowing members of the YMCA to bring their mates along to the gym for free.
This promotion offers members the opportunity to invite their mates to any YMCA centre for a FREE day session. In return, the member is entered into a free prize draw to win prizes galore- great news for all!
Happy designed and printed a range of materials including a direct mail piece in the shape of a cracker. This innovative design allowed members and their friends to tear the material in half, mimicking a real cracker. What better way to get in the Christmas spirit!
Happy really enjoyed working with YMCA, bringing Christmas spirit to all in the Fylde Coast.

Happy New Year!
We hope you all enjoyed the Christmas holiday and managed to keep safe and warm during the recent cold and snowy spell!
Well, it seems that our little Happy puzzle book kept you all entertained and even perplexed in some cases….yes, including some of the Happy Team (you know who you are!) but hopefully it provided a little respite from the manic month that is December.
As you may remember, the aim of the game was to solve 6 puzzles, revealing a single letter for each puzzle. These letters then made up a word which linked into an item on the Happy website.
The correct answer was: MOTION and this linked in to Workers in Motion; a campaign identity that we created for Blackpool Council, one of our super clients.
We had so much fun creating the puzzles and had a fantastic response to the competition, so thank you and hope you weren’t too frustrated, especially by the candy canes!!
The winners were the very clever boys and girls at Cumbria & Lancashire Public Health Network so jolly well done to them! A well- deserved surprise treat is on its way to them.
