| 24/01/2012 | Revamped Website Boosts Sales for Lancashire Cycle Store | |
Lancashire-based Wyre Cycles, who provide a bespoke service through their e-commerce site, recently needed the expert help of Happy Creative. They approached Happy after a personal recommendation when their existing website had been left on a development server by the previous designer and so wasn’t even visible to internet viewers.
Happy presented the client with a bespoke website package, tailored to their needs as a business, with the main objective to drive traffic to the website and increase the business’ online presence. The current site, which was built on the ClickCartPro e-commerce system, was therefore redesigned. A number of crucial functions were necessary to increase customer interaction including the introduction of rolling banners and the addition of social media platforms, Facebook and Twitter.
Happy also advised on the creation of a blog using the WordPress system which was seamlessly integrated with the other social media elements. These three social media platforms have since helped to drive traffic to the main online store, converting browsers into buyers.
The social media strategy, devised by Happy, has proven to be extremely effective in terms of client engagement and interaction and the business is growing as a direct result of it.
Thanking Happy for all their hard work and expertise, Heather McMurray of Wyre Cycles commented: “Things have been done that we never thought possible. We are getting known on Google and have had a few customers from the website already. Keep up the great work!”
You can view the fantastic new site for yourself at: www.wyrecycles.co.uk

| 21/12/2011 | Aim’s rebranding project points them in the right direction! | |
When Stockport based Aim Legal Expenses were looking to rebrand they commissioned experts, Happy Creative, to re-energise and refresh the group’s brand. The company is a leading provider of professional services including legal expense and “after the event” insurance policies as well as an experienced and professional claims handling service for both fault and non-fault claims. The company has grown consistently through the expansion of its suite of services and products, and its core focus on service quality and client care.
The integration of all their off-line communications which would help them stand out in a competitive market was the main focus of the brief. Happy created a distinctive visual style for the brand and also designed logos for the three key areas within the group: CoreProtect, Legal Services and On the Road. Part of the development to provide a sense of cohesion also included designing sub-brands within these sectors for the various services provided.
Happy also developed communication materials to aid the launch of the brand new look. Everything from sales collateral to corporate stationery was designed with a vision to create excitement about Aim’s multiple services. Each piece of marketing material conveys the personable, professional Aim Group values, incorporating the new brand style created by Happy. Aim is committed to providing the highest quality of service and are absolutely delighted with the results.

| 22/11/2011 | New website aids Speed Medical’s ambitious growth! | |
Chorley-based Speed Medical Services Ltd, recently named one of Britain’s brightest businesses in a national survey compiled by the Telegraph (with the help of NESTA, the innovation agency) recently commissioned Happy Creative’s digital experts to redesign and build their new website.
Having already created new branding to reflect Speed Medical’s core values of customer care and client satisfaction, the next step was to apply this to a redesign and build of the company website.
Happy applied the new branding to a full Content Management System platform which enables the Speed team to keep the content of the new site fresh and informative for users. With additional modules to handle the rotating headers, testimonials and latest news, the site is constantly evolving and offering key, important messages to ensure the visitor traffic is building on a regular basis, whilst offering the most precise and up-to-date content in an easy to read format.
The contemporary branding and layout has been specifically designed to allow easy navigation with clearly defined channels to allow different user groups to find specific content, relevant to their individual needs.
Social Media links have also been included, and Happy are currently working with the Speed team to further utilise these platforms by creating a full social media strategy to help drive further traffic to the website, whilst growing the online presence of the Speed Medical brand.
Dan Chesney, Speed Medical’s Group Marketing Manager, believes the website is already generating a return on investment and is delighted with the results: “Working with Happy has been a real revelation. It’s been a pleasure to work with a team you can rely on to give you just what you want. The increased traffic and enquiries we’ve had directly from the site already have been well beyond our expectations.”

| 07/11/2011 | Happy helps a leading pharmacy chain launch their very own Family! | |
Some time ago we introduced you to one of our new clients, Whitworth Chemists Ltd, who commissioned Happy to help them launch a new state-of-the-art pharmacy in Blackpool. Whitworth, who has 33 pharmacies across the UK, is a business passionate about building connections with the local community and being an integral, trusted part of every family.
Whitworth wanted a cost-efficient, integrated marketing campaign that captured its commitment to family, customer service and the ability to relate to its customers. It began with a telephone call to Happy.
“We needed a concept to help Whitworth differentiate itself as the family pharmacy,” says Richard Bradley, Whitworth’s Managing Director. Happy found that the answer lay in creating a family unique to Whitworths.
“We created The Whitties” says James Chantler, Happy’s Creative Director. “They’re a cartoon family representative of Whitworth’s customer base but they also reflect the very best of Whitworth. They’re personable and people can easily relate to them. They put you at ease and build trust in a fun, yet powerful way.”
It’s a concept that has real cross-platform power – as engaging on the company website as it is on bus inners, vans, window vinyls and internal signage. It’s proved so popular that Whitworth is taking “The Whitties” on their travels. They’re becoming part of the brand identity and will be rolled out across the UK.
“Every business says it’s passionate about service and committed to its communities,” says Louise Trought from Whitworth’s Head Office. “With The Whitties, Happy has given us an engaging way to not just say it, but show it.”
The “Whitties” were launched at the Waterloo Road branch on 19th October 2011 amidst great anticipation and excitement and the Happy Team were there to help celebrate their arrival.
