Happy has helped bring Dragons Den star Chapati Man’s unique take on lunch to a Morrisons store near you.
Chris and Andrea, who appeared on Dragons Den in 2010, love (amongst other things) music festivals and curry. When they decided to bring the two together Chapati Man was born. Their curry wraps won them the No.1 food caterer award at Glastonbury in 2007 and they were named British Sandwich Designer of the Year 2011.
So when the time came to turn a huge festival following into a distinct, nationwide brand, the Chapati Man chose the flavourful creativity of Happy.
The goal was to introduce the brand to buyers within the major multiple retailers with a view to securing an exclusive deal. Taking our lead from Chapati Man’s festival heritage, we created a direct mail campaign in the form of a retro record sleeve containing 4 double-sided discs about the brand. The piece was everything the chapatis are: bursting with colour, full of exciting goodies, and just the right balance of filling and flavour.
A new reason to shop at Morrisons.
The response was fabulous. Chris secured meetings with many of his key targets, following which he agreed a deal with Morrisons. His chapatis are on their shelves right now.
“Buyers thought [the direct mail piece] was fresh, fun, trendy and retro,” says Chris. “It made a change from the endless PowerPoint presentations/mails they get sent and gave them something interesting to read (not too long and detailed) and tangible to touch. Happy certainly put the Chapati Man brand image and story across.”
Could we do the same for you? Take your product to the next level with a creative agency that gives your marketing added flavour.
Oh, if you’re hungry and there’s a Morrisons nearby, give Chapati Man a try and change your lunchtime forever.
About Happy: Marketing strategies of cunning logic. Branding concepts that quicken the pulse. And results that make shareholders smile. What if your next training experience kept numbers low, so that you get to ask all your questions and get answers too? What if you could bring your own marketing challenge for discussion? And what if you could leave with a clear, practical plan to make more of your marketing?
Happy has recently completed training sessions on Social Media Strategy. The delegates were extremely happy with the workshops. Here is some of the feedback we received, in their own words: "Really interesting and interactive, with very enthusiastic presenters."
"Excellent course, covered a lot of content in a relatively short space of time. Tutors were very knowledgable and helpful in responding to queries." "Very positive. It has been very beneficial to me as I feel that I still have a lot to learn in respect of my marketing knowledge. The training today has helped me to realise that social marketing is not just another channel to use to convey my message, but a tool that allows me to target specific audiences and their influencers. I am looking forward to using the knowledge obtained in this training when writing my communication and activity plans." Happy's training courses are led by senior Chartered Institute of Marketing members, backed by ongoing support and built to form part of your continued professional development.

Happy Creative and Eden Marketing are delighted to introduce their marketing workshops for 2013.
As marketers our profession is something we are passionate about, and keeping up to date with the latest skills and techniques is an essential part of that. We recognise that it is sometimes difficult to do especially when training isn’t always affordable or too theoretical.
That is why we have partnered with Eden Marketing to introduce a range of marketing workshops developed by marketers for marketers.
Ideal for marketers of all levels and business owners alike who wish to learn more about how to use the latest marketing tools & techniques effectively, the new workshops provide the skills needed to market businesses on a day to day basis.
The workshops are interactive, with places limited to six people per workshop to ensure each delegate receives full support in developing skills to meet their own objectives and company challenges.
Open workshops are being held in Preston and Manchester throughout the year and they can also be delivered on-site for corporate teams. They are delivered over a half or full day utilising video and case studies as well as interacting with other delegates to discuss topics in question and applying the outcome to a specific situation.

One of Happy Creative’s innovative design campaigns has been recognised by the Pharmacy sector as an award winning brand creation.
Happy Creative’s client Whitworth Chemists has won the Innovation Award for their “Meet The Whitties” branding at the Pharmacy Business Awards 2012.
The 12th Pharmacy Business Awards ceremony, which happened at the Park Plaza Hotel in London, attracted around 1,000 guests and some of the sector's most powerful figures.
Happy was responsible for the innovative concept creation as part of major rebrand for the 30 branch Pharmacy chain, and also for the development and implementation of the concept across the whole Whitworth’s network.
The entire campaign was based on a family-led concept to promote the family values for which Whitworth’s are known. “The Whitties” have proved to be extremely popular with the public and with the Whitworth’s team.
Congratulations, Whitworth’s (and Happy!)!
