Simon is our Happy Director and a real life commercial marketer. It's all about results whether that be traditional media or digital/web. He's also our digital and social media expert.
Brief working history:
With 13 years of experience across the full marketing mix, Simon has specialised in digital/internet marketing and direct marketing. This complements his experience in social networking, CRM, PR, marketing communications, event management, direct mail and POS.
Proven success in many businesses through the designing and implementing of strategic marketing strategies and campaigns focused at generating sales and gaining ROI. He has a wide industry experience including Telecoms, Professional Services, Financial Services, B2B, Trade Marketing, B2C and Sports Marketing, He's worked with an array of companies such as Nortel Networks, ADI Gardiner, Yorkshire Bank and United Utilities.
He brings with him the experience of running two businesses (including a successful ecommerce business) allied to his experience across several senior management positions.
Also a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Institute of Direct Marketing, from where he gained a Diploma in Interactive and Direct Marketing in 2005. Simon is also the private sector adviser on the Local Enterprise grant award panel, and a Enterprise Champion in Lancashire.
He is heavily involved with a number of local schools and enterprise academies, talking to groups of children of all ages about entrepreneurship and acting as a mentor for some pupils in particular.

Simon was named one of the top ‘Young Un’s’, young entrepreneurs to watch in 2009/2010 by Lancashire Business View magazine and also been appointed a ‘Champion’ for local business help by Lancashire County Developments/Lancashire County Council, a position for which he received a spanking award recently.
He writes and blogs for various business magazines and is a radio DJ in his spare time.
On an entirely different note he qualified as an FA coach in 1995 and has also completed several courses since including Football Scouting.
