Integrated Marketing - Mono Pumps
Key facts
Company: Mono, a manufacturer of grinders, screens and packaged pumping systems. NOV, Mono's patent company, has over 36,000 employees around the world with revenues in excess of $9.7 billion.
Project: EZstrip global campaign.
Objectives:
- Delivering a campaign, demonstrating maximum ROI whilst ensuring complete cost efficiency.
Results:
· The campaign created a buzz, which resulted in quotations and orders within the first few weeks.
THE BRIEF
Mono Pumps, leaders in pump technology, launched a new revolutionary product for the wastewater industry, and commissioned Happy to help them launch the campaign. The use of their unique PC pump, patented as EZstrip, allows de-ragging to be done in-situ without lifting, carrying or dismantling equipment. The DISCOVER Happy phase established that the campaign had to be impactful and had to pass the key message in an innovative way.
THE IDEA
Happy analyzed the new technology and approached the brief taking into consideration the main benefits to the user. The new technology means that a job that usually takes up to 4 hours to be completed can now be completed in 2.5 minutes. So through the CREATE Happy phase, we developed a teaser campaign to build intrigue around the new product, using the headline “What can you do in 2.5 minutes?”. Using a bespoke egg box as the main direct mail piece, this was then followed by web banners and digital updates.

THE OUTCOME
Mono Pumps were delighted with the results and felt the campaign was a great success, increasing enquiries, quotations and conversions to sales, as well as increasing awareness of how innovative the new product is. The creative marketing approach certainly added to the forward thinking light in which the company wants to be seen.
Mono is happy because… "We have worked with Happy Creative on a number of direct marketing campaigns to support new product launches. The team can always be relied upon to develop creative, innovative and thought provoking campaigns, as well as being able to work to tight deadlines. A great team."
